A Wonderful Sunday in Slindon – Playground Opening Celebration
Slindon Parish Council officially opened their new playground, and what an incredible day it was! The Park was filled with families, friends, and plenty of laughter. Children wasted no time in putting the new equipment to the test, bringing the space to life from the very first moment.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was more than just a celebration of the new play area. It was also an opportunity to thank the Parish Council members, who worked tirelessly to secure the funding that made the project possible. A particularly moving moment was the tribute to Derek Thomas, a much-loved member of the Slindon community, with the unveiling of a memorial plaque in his honour.
As part of the installation, we were proud to provide a wide range of play equipment designed to challenge, inspire and include children of all abilities. The new playground features the following items.
Trim Trail items including:
- Notched Log Steppers
- Rope Weaver
- Stepper Logs
- Double Balance Beam
- Wobble Bridge
- Tractor Springer
- Deer springer
- 4-way Rocker
- Inground Trampoline
- Wheelchair-accessible Roundabout
- 2-bay Swing with Nest and Cradle Seat
We also Refurbished the Embankment Slide and built new steps infilled with Safa Mulch.
We at Playsafe Playgrounds feel very privileged to have designed and installed this new play space for Slindon Parish Council. Seeing the community come together to celebrate, and the children enjoying their new playground, is exactly why we are so passionate about what we do.
